Covering a
half-mile stretch of the Arkansas River, the
Pueblo Whitewater Park has become a popular
recreational outlet for local residents and
visitors. The park, which cuts through downtown
Pueblo, has eight water features. All produce
hydraulic action – a key ingredient for
kayaking. If the man-made rapids prove too
formidable for beginners, the park is a great
place to simply enjoy the lovely Arkansas River
