City and County ordinances require
that all dogs and cats be inoculated
against rabies. Dogs in both areas are
required to wear their valid rabies tag.
Dogs and cats that reside in the City
and County must also be licensed within
30 days after they become six months
old. Dogs in the City and County are
required to wear their license tag as
well as their rabies tag.
Cats are not required by ordinance to
wear rabies or license tags.
Licenses for residents of both the City
and County may be obtained from Pueblo
Animal Services. A current rabies
certificate must be presented to obtain
a license and discounts are offered to
spayed or neutered animals. The license
is valid 1 or 3 years from date of issue
and is not transferable. Please notify
